Archived items - how to get full path?

I have a load of content in a Worksite database that was (misguidedly) archived a few years ago, before the advent of Archive Manager.

The metadata still exists in the db, but the actual content has been moved to cheap storage. I can find the location of archive store (given that docmaster.archiv_ID=archivetbl.archiv_id), but the directory specified in archivetbl.archive_path is split into sequentially numbered subdirectories, and this is where I'm stuck.

Is there a way to construct from the database the exact full filepath, or is this something the application does on its own somehow?

The reason I ask is that I'm putting together the means to refile some of this content using a utility built from the SDK, and I'm exploring ways around having to rely on manual intervention to un-archive this content.
