"Take" button nightmare! can we stop it?

our business units hate the take button, its nearly impossible to see/find. its like a wheres waldo everytime we do workflow training. also, its location is different in the CSSTD and CSPRO interfaces. is it possible to customize the button to make it more prominent?!

im serious - business users are not happy, "its just text, its not even a button - can we make it bigger? can we make it a button"? we have alot of group tasks so they use it all the time - is there a FR open for this?

The TAKE button is a nightmare. To even call it a button is giving it more credit than it deserves. Can't anything be done to increase the size and position it more prominently?

Same our case.. Why not get this as a FR with IWOV support and add our companies to it..

Though, I believe it should be customisable..Not tried yet..

Not in any supported manner. If your environment allows little hacks though it is not that hard to do using "local" mapping
and "make_toolkit" widget, see [post=110063]this[/post] post for some discussion.

In CCPro the JSP to hack is "iwhome/httpd/webapps/content_center/ccpro/workflow/task_details.jsp"

Thanks for the feedback.. We are looking at the overall usability of the workflow UI as part of our planning for the next set of UI updates but in any case I have opened up a FR for this specific issue. The FR number is TS-5011. Please ask Technical Support to add your customers to this FR so that we can track it for future releases.

Supported or otherwise, you should not directly modify Files below iwhome/httpd.

Any "make_toolkit" widget run will wipe out your changes. Earlier in this thread I've posted a link
to the thread discussing less cavalier way of doing this sort of things. Admittedly, this mechanism
is also semi-supported at best by IWOV Smiley Sad

I was finally able update the “Take” button with a minor css change…unfortunately, it only works in Firefox and Chrome, as IE7 has bugs with css attribute selectors. I still need to test with ie8. Thoughts?

I believe it is more of an "active link" than a "button" - and it only appears in the Task Details screen when viewing an un-claimed Group Task (or in certain HTML formatted emails when receiving notification about a Group Task)

fish is correct...it SHOULD be a button, but its really just a teeny link that floats in a terrible location on the group task screen. we have a had a FR out there for ages to make it a button/more prominent

this .css workaround was the least intrusive/easiest fix i could find. unfortunately, IE7 sux and doesn't support css attribute selectors properly

It is much better in 7.1:
