Job to annotate assets with meta-data fails with weird message in job log

Hi,

I'm trying to ingest 115k images using a job which calls the index external task to ingest using an accessible UNC path; every 100 assets ingested, we run a job to decorate the assets with meta-data. This is where there are occassionally problems. So far this issue has cropped up with a few assets over the past 5k ingests.

Our job goes to put the meta-data on and while doing so, checks out the asset. Then the server claims that it is later unable to allow the same job to check it back in. The error message in the recent job log is stating there is a memory allocation issue.

Even worse is that after this occurs to the asset, the user interface doesn't allow me to undo the check-out. How do I fix these assets?

This sounds like an unusual situation indeed. Nothing of what you described sounds exceptional for normal operation. Can you open a support case and provide the MBP.log and prim.log and job.log if available?
