Problem in preview in teamsite 6.7.1 SP1

Hi,

We are facing some problems with the preview all of sudden in our dev server. The same configuration is working fine in Production server.
we are getting an error message when preview a DCR through teamsite GUI.
The error message is something like .."An error occurred during PT compiling. Please see more details in log files."

When i try to execute the preview through commmand line it is working fine... the command which i am executing is

Anybody had this erroe before?
Any help or clue will be very helpful

maybe, just maybe: is your preview-directory non-existing?

Note that iwgen does not create the directory-path.

yes the Preview server running .. Administrators are able to preview but other users are not able to preview ...
also one more thing when I add non-admistrators to allow log on locally policy , preview works for them also .. so not sure what is the root problem ..

What do iwutild_cmdout.log and iwutild.log say when you get a failure ?

It certainly appears that the utility daemon is not running as the correct person or with the correct priviledges. Check your services, on my 2003 TS 6.7.1 SP1 server it runs as local admin.

Also, when you are running non-OS users, I *think* it requires use of the XSLT templates rather than the TPL style templates.

The utility daemon service is running properly with correct privileges..
I am able to preview now but i get the following error in the servletd_out.log

This happens when someone runs iwsubmit from the command line and submits zz_ files to Staging. There is a fix in 6.7.1 SP1 for it, but you can change the preview_history_limit parameter in iw.cfg to avoid it. Mine is set to 500.

I can set this preview limit to 500 but i was wondering why this happening to non-admin users only. I am also wondering why this is happening on in dev server and not in prod server.

i just checked with one of the users and she got the preview error. The error got logged into the iwutild.log as

Sure the user cannot login to the box, so it cannot execute the process to build the object. You can allow people to log on locally. I am not certain about turn off impersonation, did they provide any details on that ? You can also go to XSLT TPLs but that would be a significant effort (most likely)

Is your Prod server the same level as Dev ? This functionality was changed significantly from 6.5 to 6.7.1, so if you are on 6.5 still in prod that explains why it still works.

Yes the Prod server is same as the dev server i.e. Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1
I did make change to iwutild.cfg and changed the following line -

I added the attribute impersonate= "false". And now it is working fine.
But still I am wondering, how is it working in Production server.
