Hi All,

I have created a table with employee details (name,age,id,dept).

Then in schema mapping, I entered the following details,

Source --DCT, File-- my own DCT location with name,age,id,dept elements
Destination --- NewSchema, MapType----manual

In Mapping Source with new db schema, I appended 3 columns(age,id,dept).
GroupName--- Employee(TableName). Then I saved "dbschema file" in server.

Then from standalone deployment page I have got deployment config file and saved it,which is given as attachment for ref. Please check the attachment.

Could you please tell me whether the procedure I followed is correct or not? And how to proceed further, so that the values from DCR copied to employee table?

I am new to this technology and followed the steps given in datadeploy users guide. I am not sure how far it is correct and please correct me if anything is wrong.

Thanks for your kind reply. I have started the deployment. But I got some error, in the logs.

The two error statements shown below,

first of all.. your missing the the values in the value-from-field.. they need to be the location of the node in from your DCR..

so if (for example) this is your DCR xml;

plus, based on the above error, it looks like you are calling deployment sample3, but the config has it called sample1..

look at the DataDeploy manual and the OD ref guide too, that should help..

There are two things about the log that you posted that make me wonder if you are doing things correctly:

In reverse order, the "Path not found" error is often, but not always, associated with lack of specifying the proper

teamsite.version

information in the deploy.cfg file (and restarting the Base Server after having made that change).

And - you seem to be providing the path to the presentation folder as the area path - whereas all the DCRs are in the data folder -- this might account for the "Path not found" error, but is almost definitely the reason for the failure to deploy anything.

Do you know what your paths are?
There should not be a directory called "presentation" prior to a directory called "data" - they should be at the same level.

If they aren't at the same level - then you have a messed up directory structure which simply will not work correctly for FormsPublisher (no idea about DD or DAS)
