Files in Workarea are all changed their status

Hello,

I have a strange behaviour which occurred recently in TeamSite (TS 6.5 SP3). All files within one workarea have changed their status to "changed" (pictogram: sheet with pencil on it) including all the files in its subdirectories.
Furthermore I checked the versions of a few files and they are displayed with
- Version (x)+
- Size: the same as the previous version (version (x))
- By: the same as the previous version (version (x))
- Modified: the same as the previous version (version (x))
Usually if I modify a file at least the field "modified" is different to the version before.

Is their a command line tool, which can create a version with identical metadata like "by" and "modified" of the previous version? Maybe, then I can search for that command within the log files of TeamSite.
Or is there a way in the GUI (TeamSite Content Center) to do so?

I have had this ones before. Also in my case all files were modified, as you described and even a submit wouldn't change that status. Eventually I created an edition, threw away the workarea and created an new one based on the last edition to find out things were back to normal again.

Our formal administrator explained it as a 'bug'. Dunno if it is...
