Hi,
We are on windows 2000 teamsite 6.1 migrating to windows 2003 teamsite 6.7.1 sp1 using active directory, But we not using LDAP for teamsite.
My questions are:
While migration do we need to run iwidmap on 6.7.1 server ?
We already run iwusermigrate, iwaccessmigrate & iwmigrate on new server.
Does it required to run in any sequence?
Do we need to run iwidmap first on TeamSite 6.1 server then on 6.7.1 ?
I also referred Knowledge Base Article 58745 , It has following instruction
:
It will also be necessary to run "iwidmap" to remap the SIDs for any local users and groups used in the store, since the SIDs will be different on server B. First run these commands on server A:
iwidmap -u -x c:\iwidusers.xml c:\iw-store\default
iwidmap -g -x c:\iwidgroups.xml c:\iw-store\default (assuming your content store is in c:\iw-store\default).
Then edit both files that are created (iwidusers.xml, iwidgroups.xml) and change the "NAME" element where needed to match the new server name (note: the new SIDs will be looked up automatically in the next step due to the "-a" option). Then copy the files to server B, and run the following commands on that server:
iwidmap -u -a -i c:\iwidusers.xml c:\iw-store\default
iwidmap -g -a -i c:\iwidgroups.xml c:\iw-store\default
\Please confirm is this the right way of doing migration?
Thanks,
Rahul
