Default Email profile - ignored on drag and drop

This is in Outlook 2003 and Worksite 8.2.

When dragging and dropping emails from a users inbox to a Workspace folder the users default email profile information is intermittently ignored.

Users are entering Department, Author and Document Type. This information is missing on the profile for the email as it is dragged and dropped.

The folders/ workspaces involved contain default for our Client and Matter codes only.

I've drawn a blank in the KB, can anyone help?
