iwstore migration (renaming of the new store)

I had a query regarding the Migration of the store .

Old/Original Store name : default
New/Migrated store name : default-new

The paths of DCRs/files in our present store is /default/main/internet/ *********************

When we are migrating and creating the new store the path of DCRs/files would be /default-new/main/internet/ *********************

All our custom scripts and Perl modules were made to work with the /default/main/internet/ ********************* Implementation . So is there a way we can change the /default-new/ to /default/ after migration so that all our custom scripts work. If yes how to achieve the same .

One option that i feel but not sure is that if we get the default-new store location.
i.e. /data2/new-iw-store/ there would be a directory by the name default-new , so rename the directory to /default/ then restart TS.

If any one has a better idea it would be great.

I assume from the path example you provied above that you are on Unix - yes?

What is the full path of the default store?
What is the full path of the default-new store?

If they are both rooted in the same directory (e.g.: /iwstore/default, /iwstore/default-new) then I believe you deactivate the default-new store with iwstoreadm, and then stop TeamSite and rename the directories (default -> default-old, default-new -> default) and restart TeamSite - if everything looks good, delete the default-old store.

If they are not both rooted in the same directory (e.g.: /dir1/default, /dir2/default-new) you should be able to do something a bit different like:

- you should probably consult with Interwoven Support before performing these operations anyway.

Yes we are on Unix , As i had mentioned in my post I feel that renaming would be the only option . the problem is that our store is 60 GB.

We have contacted the IW support on the same , but i feel they will also suggest the same.

Renaming a directory on Unix is an atomic operation - unless you try to move the directory across a partition at the same time.

So the directory could be 6 Kb to 6000 Gb and the rename (within the same partition) would take the same amount of time (roughly 1 second)
