Teamsite Import Error – java.lang.NoSuchMethodError

Hi There

We have a few users in our company that are having problems importing files into Teamsite. As soon as they click the import link the following error appears:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError – Symantec/itools/awt/MultiList: method setNumberOfCols(1)V not found
Please contact your Teamsite system administrator

Has anybody come across this issue before? If so any ideas on how we might resolve this?

"Import" is a Java Applet, it's sensitive to local JVM Version and settings. Your problem is probably
caused by the System Environment Variable CLASSPATH on the client's desktop. Some Symantec Path there
masks jar/zip's that import needs. See if you still need this Symantec stuff and clean up CLASSPATH.
Note that you *may* have to reboot after that

What was u'r version of Teamsite again and your Env??

This is JVM on your machine error as suggested , but curious abt the version, since diff versions use diff JVMs

Hi

Here are the class Paths to

a) a working class path and
b) a problem class path.

Please could you let me know what I would need to change in the problem class path in order to get the Teamsite import working. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We are using Interwoven TeamSite 6.5.0 Service Pack 3.

JVM version may be the culprit here. It would be a good idea to verify/compare the JVM version on systems of users reporting the error VS users having no complaint.
