XML parsing - generated files / uploaded images

Hi ,

We have a DCT called productdetails .The DCT has different fields , also using a
CGI callout to upload images from the local machine to the image folder in the Work Area

The user will submit the DCR ( DCT uses dcr auto naming ) using the work flow .
The inline calls(WF) will create the corresponding html/PHP files in the Work Area

Right now , I am using an ipl file as a part of the WF , which will do an XML
parsing to the attached DCR to the WF to find the generated files also the uploaded images
( basically the paths) These values will write to the temp file , which will read by the OD config files
and the files will deploy to the staging web server / production web server .

Please guide me , if we have any other logic to find the generated files path and
image path. I want to skip the XML parsing .

The reason for this requirement is to develop a new DCT called productcatalog ,
which uses more cgi callout to upload different images to different folder in the WA,
but I want to use the same work flow for both the DCT’s

I am not sure as to why do you write the images' paths to a temp file, as they could be attached to the workflow (this is what most of people would do) and taken care of by the further logic.

as to parsing DCR - one way or another this is unavoidable, I guess.
