Orphaned files

EDIT: Please ignore this post... the problem has gone away. Perhaps it was the reindexing that fixed it.

Our MediaBin server recently hit capacity. We've increased disk space, restored the database and everything is looking ok.

However there are around 300Gb of files lurking in the repository (the files which caused the problem in the first place). These should appear in the deleted items folder, if they were there I could run the "clean up" from Enterprise Manager to get rid of them, but they don't appear there. They are not in their original location within the repository either. I think they're orphaned, sitting around in the MBDataDirectory, but not showing up in the client.

Any idea how I can get rid of them?
