Multithread processing in TS 6.7.x on UNIX

I am looking for the ability(or lack of) for TS 6.7.x to work in a multithread core environment on UNIX(specifically Solaris). I am evaluating new SUN HW for deployment of TS 6.7.1 and the Sun 'T' series with single UltraSPARC T1 multicore processors that are attractive prospects but can be problimatic for applications that do not support multithread processing. To date, I have found no info on TS 6.7.x multithread capabilities or recommendations for or against TS installations running on these type processors.
Will TS work well on single socket, multicore/multithread processors like the Sun UltraSPARC T1 or will it be dog slow because it requires multisocket multiple processors?

Update: Support does not have an answer for this platform compatability. It is being refered to IW/TS Engineering for investigation/comment.

We have TS 6.7.1 running on a T1000 single socket multi core and it performs pretty well. We have not seen any performance issues so far.
There are some settings in the iw.cfg that you tweak to maximize performance, those are pretty straightforward. One catch is how the Teamsite Server sees the processer. I am not at the console right now, but I believe it sees the number of cores as the number of CPUs. Make sure your license agreement with IWOV meets what the server sees

. But what I can confirm is that the server does indeed see each core as a CPU. I know there is definately 1 physical CPU in our server but it has multiple cores and the Teamsite server reports that number. On the license generation page the number of cores is a required field.
