OpenDeploy Issue

Icebreaker

Hi There,

I am trying to deploy OpenDeploy config file that I create in my Code and Configuration branch.

I am getting the following error:

Receiver-ERROR: ERROR: [/app/iw-home/opendeploy/OpenDeployNG/conf] is not an allowed deployment path.

The following is the permission on the conf folder:

drwxrwxr-x 7 root other 2560 Mar 17 22:16 conf

Not sure if Interwoven itself not allowing to deploy to this folder or something to do with the permission at my end.

Just to let you know that I am able to deploy to tmp folder
/app/iw-home/opendeploy/OpenDeployNG/tmp

Can any on help?

Are you TRULY trying to deploy to od-home/conf ? There is one case where you have a reason that you would do that, but I would be surprised if that is the case.

Most likely you have a mistake in the deployment config file.

Post it and describe where you want said data to truly be deployed to.

Finally, the error comes from the fact that OD will only write to folders it has explicit permissions to write to. That is defined in od-home/etc/od-rcvr.xml or od-home/etc/od-base.xml (depending if this is a base server or a receiver)

Receiver-ERROR: ERROR: [/app/iw-home/opendeploy/OpenDeployNG/conf] is not an allowed deployment path.

You have to explicitly List allowed destinations for Deployment nodes. Check odreceiver.xml (perhaps odbase.xml in your case, if you deploy base
to base), allowedHosts and allowedDirectories Tags. Consult OD Admin guide for details
