Guys,
In workflow after the deployment task my next task(external) need to moniter the remote directory.

If any possiblity is there to monitoring the remote machine(production) directory using ipl file?

Please advice me.

Your requirement, or the rationale for the requirement you indicated, is kind of sparse.
You don't mention what OS TS is running on, nor what OS the remote server is running that has a directory you want to monitor (nor why you want it monitored, nor what you expect to do if something shows up while you're monitoring it, etc.)

The basic answer to the question though is yes, it's possible:

in addition to Adam's suggestions, if the file can be seen via a webserver then you can keep hitting the URL with something like this:

Development server,

OS : windows 2003 server
TS : 6.7.1

Remote server(3 party),

OS : windows xp
OD : recevier
FTP also installed that machine.

Once i deployed my files to (XML and manifestfile), 3 party agency system.They will take manifest file(languages in which the translation is required) based on that they would be transfer.

My workflow has to monitor the remote directory till they have to transfer and put into that directory, using ftp i have to get all the files and put into TeamSite.

I tried to map a network drive to the remote machine and monitor the directory its not working.

Please advice me.

or you can use deploy and run commands like this
