filter files in workarea

Is there a way to filter files in workarea. I have some files which i don't want them to show up in users workarea...specially files like deleted files or temp files, etc...Any suggestions.

In a word - no, not OOTB anyway. You can certainly hack JSPs for the corresponding Views but that's neither documented nor supported
