Dynamic DCT labels in TS6.5 SP2

Hi,
I have a requirement to change the label of DCT fields dynamically. I want to know if it is possibe to do in 6.5 Sp2. Also, if yes, I need to carry some work on DB to check the labels. Is it a good practise to do, or shall I keep a kind of properties text file in TS ? (Which asks me to sync it on regular interval).
Sorry in advance, if the thread is duplicate. I need it quite urgent.

Env. Teamsite 6.5 SP2 on windows server 2003.

To change the label you can use this (in 6.7.1 - I do not know if 6.5 has it):

IWDatacapture.getItem('/Root/Name').setLabel(itemName);

The very best way to manage these is with a DCR. Use a call server to read that DCR and return the data to formapi and set the label.

If you make it to GearUp, I have a presentation on using DCRs in ways like this.

In neither, not in 6.5.x. That API has been introduced with 6.7.0.

Edit mode only. In View mode FormsPublisher does not load user Scripts and disables FormAPI

Did you ever get an answer to the replicant setLabel issue? I'm getting the same problem.

I definitely have a handle on the item because I can (a) get the current label and (b) set the value of the actual field.
