issue in 'submit' workflow

The above is our audit log for an old version of teamsite -5.5.2 .

I am not sure why the submit workflow takes so long time ?

From 1205567523 to 1205569467, it takes nearly half an hour . What is it doing at that time and how can we make it faster ?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I second ghoti on the upgrade recommendation. A couple of other things I would be interested in knowing are:

Were there an unusually large number of files attached to that workflow that it had to do conflict checking on?
Do you have throughput counters turned on? It might be interesting to see what TeamSite thinks its load is.

Thanks for all your reply.

(1) in fact , the submit issue only occured for one branch. If I publish new documents in other branch, it is quite fast.

(2) I have asked our administrator to check the disk free space before, there are still large free space left.

Per my understanding, it is not a hardware issue .

I suspect it is something wrong for this branch which affect its efficency.

As I am not the master of the teamsite server.Could you please tell me the details of how to check the information you mentioned above ?

might be causing it to spin some cycles when performing the submit operation on that branch.

1. I checked in log file in local/logs folder, the only update is iwevents.log, but they seem to struck either at that time.

2. most of the documents we are attaching are less than 15MB.

3. What will iwfsck do ? Will it affect the normal process ?

When should we start for this iwfsck ?

With regard to iwfsck - read the TeamSite Administration Guide and/or the TeamSite Command Line Tools manuals

Will it affect the normal process? Depending on how you run it - yes.
When should [you] start iwfsck? Anytime you are experiencing problems with the backing store - and, IMO, at least quarterly (though I think Monthly is better).

hi,

We have found that , only when a new document is published will the 'submit' workflow take very long time.

If we just edit the documents it will not take long time for 'submit' task.

And in our workflow, publish new documents and edit documents are using the same .

Is there any other difference for them in the system?
