Error in deployment

The deployment script with which i was able to deploy the file before,has started showing failure(although i have not modified any single line of the script) ..with the following error
***ERROR - Send version string to receiver got RC = -1
***ERROR - I/O error with [C:\odhome\OpenDeployNG\log\src.DirectoryComparisonDeploy..

Check receiver logs. What error are you getting in those?

The receiver log is not getting updated ,only the source log are getting updated

Have you checked if OD Receiver service is running on your target machine.
Also, if you can, post your Base logs.

I found this string in your OD Base logs

It seems there might be some version mismatch although I'm not sure. Is od.log on your receiver side getting updated??

From your Base Server - attempt to telnet to the deployment port on your receiver using the same hostname or IP address specified in your odnodes.xml file for that host.

If you are able to connect in that manner - then there's something else wrong.
If you are unable to connect in that manner (which I suspect will be the case), then perhaps the DNS changed so that the hostname no longer matches up with the IP address of the Receiver, or at least with the IP address the Receiver is bound to for listening? or perhaps the Receiver was given an additional NIC and when it was last rebooted it bound the listener to a different IP address than what it used to?
The above two guesses are based on the assumptions you've provided that the servers and server configuration files have not changed with respect to OD software and that both are up and running. If either of those assumptions prove false, then there are any number of other possible scenarios.
