To deploy dcr to the database(say oracle) using data deploy, does the database need to have any kind of compatibility ? If yes, how can database made data daploy or interwoven compatible ?

Of course the compatibility might be there in terms of drivers. Needs to copy the correct db drivers in ODHOME\drivers.

Otherwise if you have privilege to create, modify and delete tables to the schema where you want to do datadeploy will suffice.

I have the driver called "Una2000.jar" I think it will support the MS-SQL-2005,

I put this driver at the location "C:\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\drivers" means its at ddhome\drivers. So I think it is also the right path.

I have restarted the Intervowen derby Database server, all the open deploy services and also the SQL services, but its giving this error again------

The only things I can think of right now are:

Beyond that - I cannot offer any other assistance. Perhaps someone else here might be able to help, but you'll probably have to post your database.xml and deployment configuration file (and you probably should not be posting the actual password like you did in your log output)

Now I used the "sqljdbc.jar" and also I have changed my deployment configuration file accordingly...Please find it for ur refrence.

and when I am opening the tables on DB its Got Locked.... Smiley Sad

Please Find my Deployment configuration file named newsTest.xml...I have done all the Database changes inside it only...I am not using Database.xml...but then also I sending it for ur refrence.

I think Its connecting with database and then it is forming the IWDELTRACKER table with tableindex iwdelt_idx.
after that it is giving null pointer exception. the logs look like ...

now I came at the point now Log is showing no error but then also its not updating the DB....I think some path is miss configured...I am finding out the path.....but not getting that where i have done the mistake...

that looks wrong, and it says it cannot find the DCR (NotPresent)..

post your OD config ..

you filelist should look something like:

templatedata/jetnews/newslist/data/testAkash

and you need to set the areapath

This is often (though not always) an indication that the ODHOME/etc/deploy.cfg is missing the teamsite.version setting (or it's there and set wrong, or it's there and set right and nobody restarted the Base Server after making the change)

Please verify if you have this setting (and that it is correct) - if not, add it and restart your Base Server and see if the problem persists.

since I saw this part of the post, it looks like the filelist is incorrect and manually create, which is why i brought it up.. although it might be a config.. If you look at the actual path.. it "seems" to indicate that it might be that (as well)
