Help Needed - OnReplicantAdded

Hi!,

I have a element in my DCT as shown below. (it is also attached in the text file)

the "ContentType" is a replicant which allows me to select any one of the container's (1 to 5), the default one is container1 which is used when i create a new DCR.

now i change the ContentType to container3 by using the "+" symbol of the replicant(which gives an option to select a container out of the available 5 container's when clicked on the "+" sign)

I would like to know which container has been selected by the user when he changes the ContentType(say for example the user select container4- how can we capture this event)

is there a way to capture this information when the user change/select the ContentType

i tried this

function ContentTypeChange(nameItem) {
alert(nameItem);
}
IWEventRegistry.addItemHandler("/ContentType","OnReplicantAdded",ContentTypeChange);

but it doesn't seems to work...

getName() will return the complete path with replicant id as well e.g root/containername[1]/item

I have only small doubt, i have the following code

function ContentTypeChange(nameItem) {
alert("i am here");
}

IWEventRegistry.addItemHandler("/ContentType","OnReplicantAdded",ContentTypeChange);

i am not able to get the alert message when i add a replicant( actually i can't add a new replicants ince the max/min is one, all i can do is change the container type using the "+" symbol)

is there anything wrong in the code above

Fragments seem syntactically correct. To diagnose your issue however we'll need to look at DCT + FormAPI code, not just some
disjointed bits and pieces

What happens if you set the min to 0 and then delete it and add a new one ?

Thanks for the reply, if i set the min to "0" and delete it and add it again it works fine..
but the problem is that if i set the min as "0", then the user can save the dcr without adding even any content(i mean without selecting any container).

is there a way to do this without setting the min to "0"

You can easily add a condition to the onSave event to prevent the user from saving with 0 entries in the container.

I agree what you are trying *could* work, but I am not certain that is how IWOV ever intended it.

Since it is not working the way you had hoped, you can file a feature request (I highly doubt IWOV would consider it a bug) and wait or try a workaround.
