Special characters in job instantiation screen

I have a workflow and a job instantiation screen for the same.
Whenever i use special characters in the textarea of job instantiation screen, it gives me an error.

TAG_info(

uDescription => [html => "textarea syntax", is_required => 'true', label => "Description",],

};
Can someoner tell me how to solve this issue?

Currently, i am working on TS ver 6.5.

You need to encode / entitize the special characters before they get transferred into the instantiated job specification file (XML) - Generally, I believe you can use HTML::Entities' encode_entities() method for doing this.
