Error while deploying task

Hi,

I am using
Interwoven TeamSite 6.7.1 Service Pack 1,
Open Deploy Version: 6.2.0.0.0
Work Flow Modeller 1.0.0.1
Windows Server 2003.

Have a deploy task in the workflow, executing which gives the following error in the log

Can't open perl script "C:\Interwoven\TeamSite/local/config/wft/solutions/wft_opendeploy.ipl?successTransition=SubmitDone": Invalid argument

where Submit Done is the success link from the deploy task.

In the deploy command i am calling the wft_opendeploy.ipl file like :
$IW_HOME/iw-perl/bin/iwperl
$IW_HOME/local/config/wft/solutions/wft_opendeploy.ipl

Any Idea what could be the problem?

Which user is the owner of this task?
Check for the permissions on the file wft_opendeploy.ipl for that user.

Are you sure the $IW_HOME = "C:\Interwoven\TeamSite" ?

While executing your ipl from command line, did you see any error or it went all success?

Also, please check the file path, as the difference between / and \ is different for windows and unix.

There are several things that look potentially questionable here - but the primary one is that the command being issued is in the form of an externaltask command (which corresponds to the script being called) but the error message shows the command having been appended to with parameters in the form of a cgitask or URL Task script - which would seem to indicate that the deploytask is executing more like one of the latter (probably URL Task) and that the script being used is not intended to be used in that manner.

You could try switching your Deploy Task to being an External Task, and then keep the command as you have it, or you could try finding an appropriate URL script (cgi program) to call from the Deploy Task. The former is probably the easier way to resolve the problem, the latter might be the "better" way.
