Interwoven Teamsite service not starting

Hi All,

Teamsite version:- 6.5 SP3
OS version:- Windows 2000 SP4

Recently we have changed the domain of machine on which our teamsite server is installed. We have generated the new license key after that.

But still the Interwoven Teamsite service is not coming up and in iwtrace.log, it is still showing:-

 
TeamSite I18N initialization successful!
[Thu Jul 17 18:56:53 2008] Start timeout interval is 600 seconds.
[Thu Jul 17 18:56:53 2008] 
*** IWServer Locale is --> English_UnitedStates.MS1252@Binary
[Thu Jul 17 18:56:53 2008] ERROR: License validation failed (5): Bad host name
[Thu Jul 17 18:56:53 2008] Contact Interwoven for a new license key.

Any idea what to do in this case?

Did you put the new license key into place correctly?
If that's not the issue I'd suggest contacting IWOV Support - chances are you either munged something when you generated the license or manage to use something else that is confusing the license validator.

I placed the new license file (TS.lic) under etc directory.

Do I need to set the 'Primary DNS Suffix' before generating the license (as suggested in KB 54841) ?

Did you try the step in KB 54841. Let me know the result.

On the TS server, open a Command Prompt (cmd) window, cd to IWHOME/bin and try running the following command:

C:\iw-home\bin> tsisvalid ..\etc\TS.lic

- if that doesn't help, post the results.

Migrateduser

Please try going to c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc and check the "host" to make sure there is not traces of the IP that resolved to the wrong DNS.

I check the host file entries. Those seems fine to me.

Hi All,

Initially I was generating the license key with 'DOMAIN=NoDomain'.
Issue is solved now by generating the new license key with 'DOMAIN=MyDomainName'.
