In VisualformatEditor there is a icon called "View as HTML"
when we click it you will see some html code.
My question is can we insert javascript code over here as on buttonclick() etc
Please let me know

Try the following :

Inser the JavaScript in the HTML mode -
(i) switch to WYSIWYG mode and save the DCR
(ii) save the DCR without switching to the WYSIWYG mode

my guess is for case (i) you lose the JavaScript and for case (ii) your JavaScript is written out to DCR
