Component Dev: Select Datum Generator

What am I doing wrong?

I have compiled and deployed my own generator.

When I try to save a component using the generator I get the message that the Select Datum must have at least one option. If I set it back to the sample generator it saves fine

Do I need to define my Generator somewhere?

Check your logs for exceptions, that error means that the generator did not return any options. It may also be a problem with the document you are returning from the generator.
