Wfm - CCStd: Access to 'File Actions' menu commands

Our WCMSAuthor user (out of box Author role) has read-only access - within a specific branch. Other users, with different and more powerful roles, have a different and more powerful roles in that branch.

the problem:
WCMSAuthor, with read only access, working within CCStd interface, is able to access 'File Actions' and to trigger some of available commands.

More specifically, the user is able to activate 'Submit' command and to push these DCRs through the workflow, even though it should not happen (based on the implemented access model).

I have attached two screenshots which might additionally help.

Is there a way to disable 'File Actions' for this specific circumstance?

What I would suggest here is to copy the Author role and create your own custom role.

Then add this user to the branch with this new custom role. In your custom role, change the functions that the user is able to perform on the workflow.. That seems to be your only possible solution for the scenario..

TS 6.7.1 gives you the flexibility to create/modify the roles according to your needs. By default, author roles has permission to attach files to workflow. If you don't want it either you can modify the Author role or create your own role and disable the specific workflow operations on that role.
