Slow datadeploy

I am using OD version 6.1.1 on solaris. My data deployments seem to be running slow sometimes (I mean very slow) and sometimes it just takes a few seconds for them.
While running slow
I ran iwodserverstatus and it shows that
OpenDeploy server is alive.
3 deployments are currently active.

but it the deployments sit in the queue for a looooong time.

Why is it so? Can anyone please explain? Thanks.

Is your issue something like this -

Your DD performs slow, you restart the OD services and then your deployments work fine?

probably because you are deploying over a dialup

Maybe you are deploying to a 386 running Windows 95

Could be you are deploying terrabytes of content

Get the point ?

If you want some help provide some details. Maybe a log from the receiver will shed some light on the matter, the deployment as well

Ok got it.

Its not a dial up
IT is a windows xp
And the file sizes not more than 3 kb

Can you please tell me which log are you talking about?

If you dont mind please what can I look for in the log file? What possibilities can say there is something fishy.

Just post your logs

Look for any indication of errors trying to connect, retry attempts to remove / replace files, etc. Look for unexplained gaps in time-stamps of the log messages.

Thanks so much fish for your suggestion. I went through all the logs and found that there are this kind of delays many times in the log (just after awaiting message a delay for 4 minutes almost ) Is this not a big deal or is it of some concern? Sometimes the delay is more than 5 minutes. Can you help?

Whenever there is a delay the deploy is slow and other times it is working pretty good(then the log has a delay of 0 minutes ie no delay at all)

Unless someone else here has experience with this issue (I don't) - I suggest you open a case with IWOV Support.

If you could post your complete logs, someone might be able to troubleshoot your issue. With the snippet, nothing is clear on whats happening..
