OpenDeploy 5.5.1 and TomCat
System
I am looking to upgrade from OpenDeploy 4.5.1 to 5.5.1 when I upgrade TeamSite from 5.0.1 to 5.5.2. It looks like OD 5.5.1 uses a TomCat server for administration and I am wondering if I can reuse the Apache/TomCat server that TeamSite 5.5.2 is using or if I need to run a separate one just for OpenDeploy.

When using OD 5.5.1 with TS 5.0.x or later, you must use the TeamSite OpenAPI instead of the OpenDeploy operations server. The operations server is a new component to OD 5.x and will only be used if TS is not installed on the same server or the version is 4.5.x and below. If you are running TeamSite 5.0.x and higher, no other components are necessary to use the administration functions of OpenDeploy 5.5.1.

By default the OD Admin Server uses its own Tomcat. But you can configure it to use another Tomcat, such as the one provided by TeamSite. There is a description in the OD 5.5.1 Admin Guide on how to do this, starting on p. 92.
