Get Latest in Content Center Standard

Hi

Is is possible to give users of CC Standard an option to do "get Latest" operation.

The scenario is that there are a group of users in a particular department. A user needs to view a file updated and submitted by some other user. Each user have their own workarea. Also if a user creates a file and submits it, the others are not able to see it since it is not present in their workarea.

One option is to do a get latest from CC Pro, but I want to know if it is possible from CC Std also as the end users use CC Std. as the interface.

Surprisingly, CC Std doesn't have the OOTB feature of get latest anywhere. I don't know why Interwoven hasn't given this feature in Std interface. The reason could be that 'Get Latest' operation is not permitted to users with author role and CC Std is primarily used by authors only. Even when you login into CC Pro with author role, you won't get the option of 'Get Latest' in Action menu.

I doubt if it will work even if you customize the CC Std interface to include the option and call your own custom script to perform the operation in case the login user is of 'author' role.
