Diff between replicant and container

Hi Team,
I had one doubt from long time. What is the difference between replicant and container.

Anybody Can you explain some briefly aabout this?

A "container" is a named set or grouping of data capture items
and an "item" is a single set of data that is to be captured.

Where as 'Replicants' are repeatable sections of a DCT containing one or more items that can be collapsed or expanded by the user .

Replicants can be created either at the container or item level;
When at the container level, all items in the container are replicated .
