Deployment fails some of the time

I've seen my deployment failing when its not able to read specific files existing in IFS. I am using a workflow external task and trying to deploy the files in the workflow file list. The deployment works fine if I issue a callback and again try deploying. Kindly let me know the reason for the same. Environment is Teamsite 6.7.1 on solaris.

I have done some analysis on this issue. This file belongs to a larger workflow file list for deployment. Can concurrency be the reason for this deployment failure. Any feedback is highly appreciated. I checked this link on the support site -

Looking at the log file, it seems like the file "disclaimers/epa_2009
.html" is having an issue. Can you remove that particular file from the filelist and see if it deploys fine?

The problem is you are deploying from the WORKAREA and the file is most likely getting changed (either being submitted and replaced with a virtual copy or being edited and replaced) between the time that OpenDeploy first examined the file and when it went to deploy it.

You can try to fix this by going through

/.iwmnt/default/...

and/or by deploying from STAGING instead of the WORKAREA.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a staged environments and only dev deployments happen from teamsite workareas. Is there a way to address this problem. Also I've randomly noticed this problem only with large file list. Is concurrency can be a potential reason for this problem - https://support.interwoven.com/kb/kb_show_article2.asp?ArticleID=57346

As mentioned in my previous post - try changing the source area path to

/.iwmnt

instead of

/iwmnt

/default
