Deploy task in Workflow modeler

I am using teamsite 6.7.1 and workflow modeler1.0.0.1
I want to deploy content from one branch to other branch or somewhere.
i have developed my workflow with deploy task.It working fine(now i have hardcoded source and target path in the xml file).
But i need to pass dynamic source and target path and dynamic filelist to the xml file.
How to acheive this functionality.Whether we need to have a customised java class for the deployment or ?.If means which class we need to implement for this.

You are going the wrong way.. If its just deploying from one branch to other.. I would use iwupdate instead of using the OD to do so...

Just pass your branch vpaths to iwupdate and it will help solve your purpose..

Among the Deploy Task Attributes, you can add OD variables. These are basically key-value pairs that are passed to the deploy command. You can pass your source and target path using these variables. In your deploy config file use the variable names instead of hardcoded source and target path. Check the WFM manual for more details.

It throwing error area=src not found.how to give dynamic value.

In job initiation form i have two drop down boxes for source and target path specification and also i am having filelist also dynamic.

Why are using $IW_CV(src)" in WF config files? Please read about Parameter Substitution from the OD Config guide.
Your OD config file should look something like:

[HTML]

[/HTML]

Where odSubst_source is the OD param that will be substitute while firing the OD command. In your WFM, you have to define this OD variable as attribute of your Deploy Task. e.g. for the above OD param, you will define a OD variable as source and give its value.

It is really helpful to me. When i got same type of requirement.
But in my it won't work with (as per pdf guide):

area = "$odSubst_source^"

although it work with:

area = "$source^"

Rest all works fine.
