TeamSite Server Migration

Hi,

The IP address of the server, where the TeamSite is installed is to be changed. We have OpenDeploy installed on both development and production server. When the file is submitted, workflow is triggered and the file is deployed to production server from development server.

So, I would like to know the areas in TeamSite where the changes need to be made.

Windows 2003
TS 6.5

Any help would be appreciated.

OD configurations will need changes not TEamsite. I recommend you go through the OD Admin guide, understand the purpose of OD and TS correctly..

You are changing the IP address of the TeamSite server - I would do the Windows' equivalent of a 'grep' through the entire IWHOME and ODHOME directory trees looking for any files (other than .log files) that contain the old IP address. I believe on Windows you can use 'find' - or perhaps the Windows Explorer Search mechanism.

Offhand - you are likely to need to change the iw.cfg file and possibly the odbase.xml and/or odnodes.xml files - and there may be some of the various conf files for things like iw-webd, etc. The 'grep' suggestion is generally best because it doesn't rely on guesses from us and is based on your actual situation as opposed to someone else's implementation which may not have the same issues (some installations use IP addresses, some use hostnames -- assuming the host name and domain name will remain the same - that shouldn't be an issue).

You might have to generate a new license too - but I would try without doing so first (again, assuming the host name and domain name stays the same)
