I have a deployment config file in which values of node, source, target etc are filled in dynamically. Where do you set these values?

you really need some training and a manual
When you kick off OD from the shell or from the you can set command line parameters with the -k switch.

Yeah I do need one.But I am trying my best to learn whatever I can and I hope someone can help me.Right now we dont have a browser based UI for opendeploy ,its not integrated with the content center so I want to know what are the config files needed for an opendeploy/datadeploy which is being done in a workflow. So dcr is created and when you generate it ,it asks to select a workflow and gets deployed to the given database. If you can explain how an opendeploy is performed in a detailed way it would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

I know that you can specify source and target as parameters in -k switch but can you set node too?

It depends on how the config was written. You can parameterize almost everything, if you want to. Without looking at the config file, it is hard to tell

You can generally, speaking, set the value of any attribute using the '-k' flag.
If you're going to be doing development you should have, or find out who at your site has, support access. Once you have access (directly or indirectly) to the support site, you can download the manuals. Once you have the manuals - you can read them and try to answer most of your questions that way. When you can't find the answer in the manuals - feel free to post here and usually someone will respond.
