OD connection error

hello friends,

getting this common(?) error "***ERROR - Job ID=m3Deployment=test upgrade
Base: Exceeded all 3 retries to get a connection with the target OpenDeploy host.
Failed creating socket."

I have tried "telnet targethostname port no" and it is successful. What should I check next?

Try using IP Address.

Also check odnodes.xml hostname withe deployment config hostname. check the entries port in OD-HOME\deploy.cfg are correct?

make sure windows firewall should be off on target machine.if it is on,allow the port to deployment in target host.
