URGENT! Proxy error!

the Interwoven Proxy sercvice is not starting! The following is the error message:

"Error: 1053: the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion!"

Try running from a DOS shell and post any output. Also check any logs that may have changed and post that information

Proxy really only has 2 common failure modes, something on its port (1080/1) or malformed regex (have you added any new proxy redirects ? )

how do i run the proxy service from DOS?

run a DOS shell on the server and run (preferably as an admin)

c:/iw-home/bin/iwproxy.exe

(changing the path to be appropraite for your system)
