Directory based deployment

How to do directory based deployment.Actually i m getting problem when i m trying to deploy more than 2000 files as now i m deploying through filelist.

For Directory based deployment ,i have included following in the configuration xml file-
[html]

[/html]
this is working fine for single directory deployment for which i hardcoded path element attribute in the configuration file but what i need to do is to deploy multiple directory.I m not sure what i need to do so that it works fine with multiple directory deployment without using filelist.

You don't - you use a filelist deployment:

).The target area path is the base path to which all relative paths for the selected entries will be deployed.Got it?
