Please specify your TS and OS versions and the version of JRE on the client system.

It's a known issue.

Contact Support. Import is a Java Applet, it is sensitive to the permutation of local (Client Side) OS/Browser/JVM Version.
Support should be able to tell you what JVM Version to install, that's what it normally boils down to.

Have you tried the same with another user id? Please try it may work.

These kind of errors have been experienced before and the problem was resolved only with teamsite reinstallation.

Antharix, I am sorry to hear that you needed to reinstall Teamsite for this problem. Installing the webapps would have been much shorter and sweeter if anytime a reinstallation is needed for UI issues.

Anyhow I am pretty sure, that this issue can be resolved on the client or server with the use of minimal configurations changes.. though it may require some lengthy trials and errors..

You can login to the support site and try to find the java compatibility matrix. Correct version of java should resolve your problem. We had experienced the same problem and installing the correct version of java had resolved the issue.

the problem you explained is known to exist with TS 6.5 + JRE 1.5. We suffered from this (TS 6.5 sp2), but it went away when reconfiguring IE6 to use JRE 1.4.2_06 which was also installed on our standard workstation.

are you ABSOLUTELY sure that the user is using JRE 1.4.2 in IE? This can be verified from the Tools/Sun Java Console. When multiple JRE are installed on a machine, IE6 can be configured to use any of them, usually the most recent one, if you leave the defaults.

If the JRE version is 1.5 then to overcome this problem, the workaround is click on the "Name" bar(as displayed in the attachment). The hidden list will be populated.

is this a solution? what if some of them still remain hidden.. specifically the one that lie in the middle? would it be worthy to have users fo through this pain?

Absolutely, we have tested it and it works. You can try if you want.

Since we suffered this problem, this workaround caught my interest. I just tried this with JRE 1.5 and TS 6.5 import wizard.

When you click the Name label, it will resort the list.
It's not that the list suddenly becomes *complete*. The total number of items in the list remains the same (less than the number of items in the subdir). But by reversing the sort order, you make the end of the list visible, so you tend to see (I believe all but I didn't check that deeply) the missing items.

But this "workaround" must be reapplied for every directory visited.

Definitely interesting to know, but IMHO and for our company, too tedious for the average end-user.

Frederik, Sumitk, I know about this workarround from my past experience. This would not show all the files for directories having huge number of files... it will only show the top order list... We can still futher workarround things but a Fredrik stated - This is highly tedious process of User Training as well as productive work
