sounds like a problem.
If you want more help than that then you had better provide a whole lot more information

I am trying to open an xml file by clicking on it...then when I click "download file" - it gives the following error:
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Note: all other files in the directory are opening

OK, what is the XML file ? How are you trying to open it ? What are you planning to do with it ? Is it a TS file ? Like a template ? Is it a custom XML file ?
Can you dlowload or upload any files from TS ?
Amrita1
It is a custom XML file. Yes, I can download, upload files..all other files I am able to view..This error is when I just want to view it...I am able to open it to edit with editor/view through "my local file"
nipper
Can you view this file correctly through any browser ?
go to
http://server:81/iw-mount/default/main/branch/workarea/workarea/path/to/file.xml
when you substitute the proper server name, branch, path and file name does the browser render it properly ?
Amrita1
No this does not help opening the file..

I changed the URL a bit, I want to see if the browser is configured properly to open XML files.
go to
http://server:81/iw-server
then traverse to the location and click on the XML.

Other XML files are opening properly...traversing is not helping either..
nipper
OK, so if you are traversing the folder and see the file but still cannot open it, then it is a browser/XML file issue. That is not using TeamSite at all.

These "other XML Files" do not have DTDs. The one you are having a problem with does.
You know, pesky <!DOCTYPE...> Tag and all that. Your local browser does not have an access to this Server Side DTD resource so it complains.
Ignore the error and use "View Source", that's the best you can do without modifications

okay, i will try upload it again and view...thank you very much!!
