Cssdk

I have never used cssdk.

what is it used for ? Is it installed with TS or does it require separate install ? How to use it ? Whats the need to use it ?

Pls provide some primary ideas about CSSDK.

[left]ContentServices are developer tools and SDKs. The expose certian Interwoven capabilities as web services. These can be used in your applications to include Interwoven features.

You need to install the CSSDK separately.

You need to install the CSSDK separately

CSSDK is installed during TS installation, check /iwhome/cssdk Folder.
Depending on the intended usage you *may* have additional CSSDK/SOAP licencing issues.

Kshitij, whats this separate install that you are talking about ? because I did go to /iw-home/cssdk, and found some directories there. Is that everything we need to use cssdk or is there something which needs to be installed separately?

what is csts (ContentServices for TS) ? Is it new name for CSSDK ? If yes, then since when did CSSDK change to CSTS ? Are there any differences between CSTS and CSSDK ?

No Content Services and CSSDK are two different things. Please check your cssdk.cfg file in iw-home/cssdk. There should be a line that says something like cs.soap.license, if it is filled, then you have the soap server installed. If not, then you do not. If you have TS671SP1, if you run iwreset -a, you'll see that TeamSite tries to start up the CSSDK Services. If you download the cssdk client, there are example java files that you can use to create client object, create CS Factory, etc....
