Auto addition of blank container

Hi,

TS 6.7.1
OS SunSo

Facing a strange issue since moved to 6.7.1 from 6.1.

We have one DCT which has a main container and sub container having the same name (AnnotatedMenu), though the second one is well under 2 sub level containers

AnnotatedMenu (root)

Teasers (combination OR)

Something else

Then AnnotatedMenu (optional)

Problem:

Issue is that when ever we include this and save the dcr and reopen it, we get an additional set of AnnotatedMenu (blank)

It could be because of same name used for parent and child containers. Try changing that and see if it works fine?

Post your DCT as well.

Yes if we change it works fine, but since this is been used in many dcrs would not be possible to change now.

Seems something in DTD which is causing this, not sure what as we tried the same with disabling all formAPI calls.

It depends upon the scripts being used behind the scenes (jsp) not on DTD as it only defines the schema, not the element names.

I still recommend to go for a container name change... as early as possible. Just have to write a small script which does the reverse engg over all DCRs.

Anything in 6.7.1 which might have caused this? As was working fine in 6.1.
