Approval WF Question

We have a custom approval WF. The editors have access to both

Content Center standard and professional

The current issue ,

if the editor login using CC Professional and check the WF tab

They can see the work flow tasks , They can select the Active Tasks

and instead of the approver the editor can approve it ..

Please help me to know , anything wrong to the WF Process or logical error ?

Once editor submitted to the approval ,I don’t want the editor to approve it

even if he login using cc standard or cc professional

How to achieve this ?

I changed both , Change in owner works fine (some issues with Business Rules -

But the change in creator doesn’t work .

As i understand u don't want editor to access other's user task,this can be achieved.For this first of all make required user(in your case it's an approver) as the owner of user-task and then u have two options to follow...

By default editor has the permission to view/modify the task that he doesn't own.So by setting either of the permission uncheck u can acheive ur solution.

Option-1:

Either restrict editor by unchecking the permission property
Modify tasks and jobs that they do not own
In this case editor will be able to view task,but if he will try to work on them he will get msg of "Permission Denied"

Option-2:

Or Uncheck the these two permission property
View All Jobs
View All Task
In this editor will not be able to view other's user task in task list,so he can not do anything.

Follow these steps to alter these permissions--:

Step-1:

All these permission u can get under the Administration Tab following Operations-->TeamSite Admin-->Configuration-->Roles and Permission-->Manage Roles.

Step-2

Just Edit the Role of Editor under the Heading "Permission Overrides " (for first option)" or Workflow " (for second options).

After implementing either these options hope you will achieve your target.

Vin clearly indicated that his version is TS 6.5. None of this nice 6.7 Custom roles Jazz exists there

Has anyone tried this?
I want to restrict Editor user who is the job owner in my case to restrict from taking any action in usertask who has a different owner.

I tried the above mentioned solution, but it didn't work.

Job owner's have generally always had the ability to interact with tasks in their jobs - the "trick" for this has been to hard-code a different user (e.g.: root or Administrator) as the owner and/or creator of the job.

Theoretically, one might assume that the role Permission Override "Modify tasks and jobs that they do not own" if unchecked, would prevent this - but I don't think it does (I haven't verified it one way or the other though)
