how to remove the <p> </p> tag from visual config editor

Hi ,

I am getting extra

tag whn i insert the text into the visualconfig editor.

I want to remove it.
I tried by putting

$text = s|

||g;

But i am not able to remove the

tag.

Please advise me.

By default, VisualFormat inserts a paragraph tag (p) when the user presses Enter.

To change this behavior so that a linebreak (br/) appears when the user presses Enter, set it to true.

Just to clarify:

Is the issue paragraph tags within the text entered into the VFE field - or paragraph tags surrounding the entire contents of the text entered into the VFE field?

That is resolved by shiftenter. But new issue rise ie. bullet is creating only one time.

The regex is wrong. Assuming you want to remove only empty paragraph tags - then I believe you want:

my $text =~ s|<p>\s*</p>||gsm;

If that is not your intention - then you need to specify your intention much more clearly.

If you mean that there must be at least one space character - and only space characters between the begin and end paragraph tags - then change the asterisk in my previously posted code snippet to a plus-sign.
