iwgetfilejobs CLT

Can somebody pls explain me the path used i this command as per CLT PDF, page 47

>iwgetfilejobs -s factotum \default\main\WORKAREA\kconnor\foo.txt

Under the workarea "kconnor", I create a templatedata folder, category, datatype and data folders. Where do we create text files like the one "foo.txt" specified over here.

What is this text file for ? Is it created automatically ? I have never created text file in workarea.

How do you know, which text file to use to get a job and task ID ?

You need to first know what Teamsite does. What are workflows? What are jobs and what are tasks? Probably read through the manuals for an initial introduction and then you may like to take up a training as well..

The questions you have asked are completely unrelated. I feel, you have just jumped to the CLT manual without going through Teamsite basics.

First - read Munish's reply, you are certainly lacking in some basic TeamSite understanding.

To answer your specific question, iwgetfilejobs /default/main/branch/WORKAREA/workarea/some/file.txt

will return the job and task IDs for all jobs that include this specific file.

"Hello World!!" example certainly does not say that you must say Hello to the World. Smiley Very Happy

As per your other 'curious' questions:
1. You can create any file with any extension under a workarea. It acts just like a folder.
2. Under a workarea, no file gets created on its own.
3. You only need to know the vpath of the file for which you want to check the job and task id, with which the given is attached.
