DataDeploy Issue

Hi All,

I am doing db deployment(Stand alone),Here we are facing one issue with datadeploy.
For the new dcr datadeploy is happening fine,if i edit old dcr and save it's successfully deploying and deleting existing records from the database.

Here with I am attaching datadeploy configuration file.Please can some one suggest me.

Here while editing any existing dcr's,It's insertning a new record and automatically it's deleting all existing records from the database table.We have not written any program for deleting records from database table.

When you are editing one dcr then other dcr are present in your WORKAREAs data folder or not?

By default Standalone deployment deletes database table and then again inserts the content of all dcr present in your data folder.

But if you keep real-update option enabled then you should be able to modify database table each time when you create a new dcr or edit the existing one.

A standalone deployment will do what you tell it to do. The difference between using and not using real-update has to do with the individual record (actual update versus delete+insert) not the whole table.

If the deployment is based on an area as opposed to a file list - then the question you asked:

makes some sense in that if the workarea is not in-sync and an area-based difference is used as the basis for the deployment, then the other entries will probably get removed from the database.
