save dcr automatically in subfolders under data

could anyone suggest me out or direct me to any RTFM for how can we save dcrs automatically in subfolders present in data folder.
I would be using onsave event and generate dcr names automatically. But I was curious to know if after naming the dcr how can we save them in various subfolders (or as a test/startoff saveall dcrs in one subfolder present in data) present in data folder. By default they get stored in data folder of the datatype.

It can be done via workflow processes and/or FormAPI. Search the forums (the FormsPublisher forum mostly - since that's where this topic belongs) and read through the FormAPI manual.

This is a custom solution that is often implemented. I say custom because the folder structure is your definition and will be different for each project.

I implement it with a call server (/en-US/somedir/foo.xml) and the call server creates the folder structure if necessary and verifies (on a new DCR) that the DCR does not already exist.
