Search request from another application

Hello guys,

Is there a way to send a Search request to FileSite / DeskSite.

In an external application (like a PMS) which has the Client ID and Matter ID store there is a need to place a button like 'show all WorkSite documents'

Can a search request be forwarded to DeskSite / FileSite?

It sounds like you're attempting to do a search by client/matter to return documents to display from within your external app. Is that correct? Or do you also need to show the search results via a WorkSite result window? Which version of WorkSite is this?

Yes you are right. The client is MailSite 8.0 so it's far way of using Vivisimo.
Is there any change to forward a search request?

Hi All,

I am new to Interwoven worksite. My task is to open a worksite folder using the object ID in the outlook using the worksite API. I know to get an instance of the Database but dont know how to get the folders that lie under that. And I need show the user the worksite database in the outlook where the folder is drilled down to the one whose client ID is sent. If anyone knows how to achieve this using the worksite dlls pls post your reply.

If your application is independent of WorkSite Desktop Client - which means it's a separate process from DeskSite/FileSite - then no.
