Defining user access on a folder level
BUADH
Hi all, I'm wondering anybody knows a way of defining access at a folder level within a branch. We currently have two sets of users and two particular content folders with a access to their respective one e.g. User A can only access Folder A and similarly User B can only access Folder B all within the one branch. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Access at the folder level is handled by the OS.
If you go through the Interwoven File System (IFS) interface you can navigate to the folders within *workareas* upon which you want to set access rights and do so using the native OS tools (Windows, right-click and Properties - Unix, chmod, chown, chgrp)
You can also use TeamSite's submit.cfg file to specify settings for files and/or directories upon submission to the staging area.
Does this help?
