To validate /opendeploy/OpenDeployNG/etc/odnodes.xml [color=black]against /dtd[size=2][color=navy][font=Arial]/etc/odnodes.dtd[/color][/font][/color][/size]
[size=2][font=Arial][/font][/size]
[size=2][color=navy][font=Arial]What is the syntax for iwxml_validate.ipl?[/color][/font][/size]
[size=2][color=navy][color=navy][font=Arial][/color][/font][/color][/size]
[size=2][color=navy][color=navy][font=Arial][/color][/font][/color][/size]
[size=2][color=navy][color=navy][font=Arial][/color][/font][/color][/size]

iwxml_validate.ipl -well seems to be what you need

I did go thru the help page, source code of iwxml_validate.ipl and CPAN XML::Checker before seeking help Smiley Wink

iwxml_validate.ipl [-max_errors n] [-d level] [-well] x.xml [y.xml [...]]

-well Only check to see if XML is well-formed (don't validate).

BUT, I want to validate it.

Is there a way I can write a wrapper to validate this without modifying the odnodes.xml

It doesn't sound that hard to do - create a script that takes as arguments:

Take the original file and the DTD and generate a temporary file that incorporates the DTD into the contents of the XML file and then process the temporary file (or contents therein) with the utility chosen to perform the validation. After that's complete - remove the temporary file.
